RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE OF EASTERN ONTARIO

Each year Lagois Drafting and Construction Inc. finds projects or events for our staff, suppliers or trades people to get involved in, to support Ronald McDonald House of Eastern Ontario. For the past few years, Herb and the team have sponsorsed a company golf tournament to raise funds for some desperately needed new furniture at the Ronald McDonald House.

ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

To All Participants and Sponsors,

Thank You for making our Lagois Golf Tournament a very successful day! Thank you and your team members for competing in our tournament and thank you for supporting Ronald McDonald House! The fellowship after the game was fun, complimented by a great meal from Manderley.

Our great appreciation to everyone who sponsored a hole, contributed items to our silent auction and prize tables!  Carol Houston & Barb Langley, (representing Ronald McDonald House) have received a complete bedroom suite from Ashley Furniture Home Store.  They and everyone at Ronald McDonald House was so appreciative of this gift that will make life at the House more comfortable for the sick children and their families.

The silent auction raised $550.00. Donations and the 50/50 Draw raised another $700.00 thanks to Shawn Clouthier donating his 50/50 winnings back to Ronald McDonald House. The auction of extra prizes generated another $75.The proceeds of the golf tournament was  $2,675.00 for a total of over $4,036.18 in cash going directly to Ronald McDonald House.

It’s events like this that make our work satisfying and rewarding. Again, thanks for making our Golf Tournament very successful!

Oh my how to say thank you! Barb and I truly had the very best time last Wednesday. Neither of us have laughed for an entire 18 holes in all the golf we've played! It was a wonderful day and we really don't quite know how to say thank you enough. 

Lagois have been such longtime friends both to us and to the House and to our families. It will be so good to have your name on the door of one of the bedrooms in the Family Room at CHEO.

FUNDRAISING PROJECTS

Ronald McDonald House of Eastern Ontario Fundraising:

• 2011 – Sponsored a company golf tournament to support Ronald McDonald House with the donation of a bedroom set and $4,000.00 cash.
• 2010 – Sponsored a company golf tournament to support Ronald McDonald House with donations of a bedroom set, patio set, and $4,000.00 cash.
• 2009 – Sponsored a company golf tournament to raise funds for some desperately needed new furniture.
• 2008 – Jointly with AATO organized a golf tournament to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House
• 2007 - 2008 with the help and support of sub trades, built a play room addition to Ronald McDonald House of Eastern Ontario.
• As a proud member of the Ottawa-Carleton Home Builders' Association Renovators Council, Lagois Drafting & Construction Inc. for 9 years was a builder of a play structure.
• At Lagois Drafting & Construction Inc. we find the projects allow our staff, suppliers and trades people to be involved. That strengthens and enhances our belief of community involvement.
• Lagois Drafting & Construction Inc. has had the distinct honour of being the recipient of two Children's Choice Awards for favourite play structure as chosen by children.
