Radiant heat was used to supplement the existing forced air system, especially in the basement area (basement being traditionally cooler).
The radiant heat utilizes a grooved plywood (Quick Trac) system, where the tubing is laid into the grooved plywood. The finished floor is then secured to the plywood and metal deflector plates transfer the heat evenly over the floor surface.
