This Rear Family/Sun Room Addition was designed to create additional living space. The addition incorporates a rear entrance, a sitting (family) area, and a dinette area. Along with the addition a detached garage was added. Interlock walkways, and patio areas, along with planter areas compliment the addition to create a stunning rear yard.
Emphasis was placed on designing an addition that blends into the existing, flows well, and lets abundant light into the existing home. The design challenge was to create maximum space without overwhelming the rear yard.
A palladium window, along with a cathedral ceiling was used to create a feeling of openness and space. A freestanding gas fireplace was added for cozy winter evenings. The garage corner was angled to invite guests to the rear yard, with an interlock walkway leading to an awe-inspiring interlock patio
