If you’ve ever met Jacob Kirst, you probably won’t be surprised by this. But it will likely make you smile anyway.
Jacob has been nominated as “Pillar of the Community” by the Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association (GOHBA). The award honours an individual whose steadfast commitment, leadership, and service have strengthened the very foundation of their community. It recognizes those who consistently go above and beyond to support others, foster unity, and create meaningful changes that endure over time.
This describes Jacob Kirst perfectly. We hope you’ll share in the pride the Lagois team feels about him.
But wait – there’s more.
The Canadian Home Builders’ Association has announced that Lagois Design Build Renovate is a finalist in four award categories in the CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence:
Best Website
Best Kitchen Renovation 70k-100k - South of the Mountain
Best Whole Home Renovation under 200k - Achieving Hygge
Best Adaptiv™ Home Renovation - Fabulous Flex
The Pillar of the Community award will be announced at the GOHBA Annual General Meeting April 8, 2026 at the St. Elias Banquet Centre in Ottawa. The evening brings together members and industry leaders to reflect on the year and celebrate those who have made a meaningful impact on GOHBA and the housing community.
The CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence will be announced in Québec City May 8, 2026 during CHBA's Home Building Week.
If you see Jacob and the Lagois team, give them a wave of congratulations!
