Teeing up for diabetes

Jacob Kirst teed it up lately at the RND Construction Ottawa Flame of Hope Golf Tournament.

Two members of the Lagois team, Jacob Kirst (President) and Jeff Hurdis (Lead Designer) teed it up at the RND Construction Ottawa Flame of Hope Golf Tournament on June 22, 2026 at The Meadows Golf and Country Club. The 27-hole event included a dinner and auction afterwards.

The RND golf tournament is a long-standing tradition as the company’s significant fundraiser for Diabetes Canada. Its goal this year was $125,000.

Proceeds from the fundraiser help to send local children to Diabetes Camps, which are summer, family, and leadership programs for children and youth living with type 1 diabetes. Diabetes Canada helps support more than four million people in Canada living with diabetes through research, programs, and advocacy.
