Children returning to school. Little ones going to kindergarten. Big kids leaving for college and university: so many milestones in our lives.

It’s a sweet time but also a big event for parents and grandparents, when life seems to change and evolve before our very eyes. As Lagois Office Manager, Brenda Salmon, says: “These moments make us feel a little bit older, a little bit sad, and a whole lot proud.”

It’s around this time that we think about milestones here at Lagois, too. We have people in this company, headed by Jacob Kirst and originally started by Herb Lagois more than 40 years ago, who make a truly formidable team.

Here they are:

  • Shahrzad Khezri. Construction Estimator, 1 year

  • Tom Felts, Site Supervisor, 23 years

  • Sophie Villeneuve, Project Development Manager, 19 years

  • Jeff Hurdis, Lead Designer, 13 years

  • Darren Vander Meer, Production Manager, 7 years

  • Brenda Salmon, Office Manager, 7 years

  • Kelly Goodenough, Bookkeeper, 28 years

  • Jason Simons, Lead Craftsman, 2 years plus (Jason was once a Lagois co-op student)

  • Emma Kwan, Interior Design Specialist and Director of Marketing, 1 year.

We enjoy celebrating the people and the talent in this list. Milestones, skill and experience make us all “a whole lot proud.”

Happy celebration of your own special moments!
