New Year’s Eve Charity Ball

A Scottish New Year’s Eve party 2024

December 31, 5 pm to 1 am

Infinity Convention Centre, 2901 Gibford Drive, Ottawa

 

Hogman-Eh! is a huge Scottish-style celebration featuring local and international music, Highland dancing and great food.

 

A free event begins at 2 pm with the opening of the Hall of Origins. At 4:30 pm the main ballroom opens with music until 1 am.

 

$45 for general admission (free for children under 12); $75 for a VIP ticket; and $125 for a VIP ticket with a 3-course meal.

Ottawa Christmas Market, New Year’s Eve

December 31, 2 p.m. to midnight

There’s a bit of everything here: twinkling lights, local crafts, delicious treats, kids’ crafts, bingo, and performances by artists such as Chase, Kentucky, and The Chantal Hacket Band. Festivities begin at 2 pm and end at midnight.

New Year’s Eve light displays

Always a treat and a wonderful family experience, New Years Eve 2024 will go out in a blaze of beautiful lights, here:

●       Magic of Lights at Wesley Clover Parks, 411 Corkstown Road, Nepean, December 31, 5 pm – 10 pm

●       Christmas Lights Across Canada ‒ an illuminated route between Ottawa and Gatineau, to January 7, 2025

●       Alight at Night at Upper Canada Village, 13740 County Rd. 2, Morrisburg, December 31, 5 pm – 9 pm

Fresh, fun and invigorating, these nature trails are especially beautiful in winter and a bright possibility for New Year’s Day.

A 3-km frozen pathway winds through old-growth orchards, meadows and forests, 30 minutes from downtown, Orleans and Barrhaven.


Note: The skating trails are partially lit. Bring a headlamp for after dark skating. There are no lights along the snowshoe and hiking trails.

Winter skating, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing through the woods. 3 km skating and snowshoeing tail through the forest. Trails are maintained and sheltered from the wind.

There’s a 30-ft high, 300-ft long tubing hill with 10 different runs.


Countryside Adventures also has a petting zoo, a bonfire, and a food truck. Skate and snowshoe rentals are available. Dogs and strollers are welcome.
