You don’t have to be good. You just have to have fun…and while you’re at it, you can help raise money for Ronald McDonald House, one the favourite charities of Lagois Design∙ Build∙Renovate.

It’s the annual Lagois Golf Tournament on Friday, September 12 at Manderley on the Green in North Gower.

The tournament will be “best ball”, so all you need is one good golfer in your group. You play off their ball for the entire tournament. So even if it’s your first-ever time golfing, you can just join in for the fun and the camaraderie.

Players, sponsors, donors and volunteers are needed and greatly appreciated.

Ronald McDonald House is a special and comforting place, a home away from home, for families with seriously ill children undergoing treatment at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).

This is the 16th year Lagois has organized and hosted the tournament, held in memory of Chris Parish, their long-time and much-loved team member, whom they lost to cancer in 2001. Lagois added a special Chris Parish trophy in his honour.

They have raised more than $250,000 for Ronald McDonald House over the past 25 years with golf tournaments, support from trade partners, suppliers, friends and family; with pro-bono renovations and additions; and a gazebo. They used designs from the Grades 2 and 3 students of Irene Lagois, wife of founder Herb Lagois, to build large-scale playhouses for RMDH: a submarine, a race car, and many others.

Spots are filling up quickly, so don’t wait. Click here to sign up for a great day!
